Savor The Sweet

Because it goes too fast.

Now maybe that has deeper meanings and more application than I am thinking of as I type it.

I had the idea to make cookies recently. I know you can buy Chips Ahoy cookies and such but there is nothing quite like a fresh batch of cookies. From being able to make them how you like, to the scent that fills your kitchen, to the freshness that they hold - it's really a great thing. I read a blog in which a little while back the writer posted about how maybe the simple act of making cookies with our families when we were growing up was such a value-filled activity to participate in that it alone contributed to a healthy up-bringing. It is not exact science but I would have to say, at worst, it is not hurting anyone (unless you are terrible at making cookies).

But, I had hoped, when I decided to make the second half of the dough today that my picture of the day would be a delectable plateful of cookies. They would be towering and melting and just looking great. But what I hadn't thought of was how difficult it would be to let them go untouched. As such, my picture is what it is, a sign that quicker than you can put them out, they are gone. Apply that to deeper things if you will. All I know is that I am going to need some more ingredients.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone
Infinite Love
