Second Biggest Snow Storm...

...in Philadelphia's history. Everyone from around here can tell you exactly what the biggest snow fall in our city's/area's history. The Blizzard of 96. That snow storm brought in 30 inches of snow. Total snow fall today measured in at 28.5 inches of snow. I'll be honest - I'm glad we didnt break it. The blizzard of 96 is legendary and a snow fall I can always remember as a major event in my childhood. Passing it would make it feel smaller. In addition in 1996 I was 8 years old and 30 inches of snow was enough that I couldn't walk anywhere. Todays 28.5 inches definitely makes walking around difficult but it also is just below my knee. So it is nice to know that the best snow storm of my childhood still is the biggest snow storm in the city's history.

To top it off - we are expected to get another snow storm Tuesday. Luckily by then I'll be back in NY. It was cool to be home for this but another storm is a bit much.
