time to get ill

short post. im hot and have to get in bed. today was great - first day of volunteering - cant wait for tomorrow. on my walk today there was just this strange visual similarity between whats pictured below and something that i didn't recall right away. later i realized that somehow this picture reminds me of an urban version of the decaying stage on the beach in Baz Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet. I didnt take the picture until my way back and so its not exactly the same, and there is now a bus in the way slightly interfering with this similarity - but it was interesting to me, nonetheless. I wouldnt go so far as to say they look the same so much as the looking through the foreground structure into the distance mixed with the sky had a similar vibe as the perspective in the movie from the beach side looking through the stage back into the city.
